about

(Davison)

The title is a parody of Charles Darwin's famous book "On The Origin of Species..." It is the beginning of a two part piece of program music (that ends with "Ennui in Three") which depicts the experience of playing in empty rooms to people who don't care about you, and the life experiences that surround such an activity.

lyrics

"Can I be SkyNet?"
"Yes!"
"Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet!"

"Okay, I'm not gonna say 9/11 was an inside job, but..."
"But?"
"Jet fuel cannot melt through fuckin' steel beams"
"You mean Jeb Bush can't melt steel beams"
"Jeb Bush can't melt steel beams, ha ha ha."
